Theatercaféen is an iconic restaurant in Oslo that has been a popular meeting place since its opening in 1900. The restaurant is known for its classic interior with a vibrant atmosphere, and has been a gathering place for artists, actors and cultural figures over the years.
The menu offers both classic and modern dishes that are just as suitable for a glass of wine as for lunch and dinner. If you are a large group, we offer a chambre separée with space for 36 people. If you are dining alone, our bar counter is a pleasant alternative.
Note: Theatercaféen is closed for four weeks each summer, mainly in the month of July.

Monday - Saturday: 11:00 - 23:00 (Lunch from 11:00 - 16:00, dinner from 16:30 - 23:00)
Sunday: 13:00 - 23:00 (Beats&Brunch from 13:00 - 17:00, dinner from 17:30 - 23:00)
We are closed during summer from July 7th to August 4th, and look forward to welcoming you back on August 5th at 11:00.
